Cool An old newby with no brakes

Hi all;

I have an 07 3.5SE 6 sp stick with corroded rotors. I don't want to buy stock as the corrosion rate on the stockers is pretty bad and it eats my pads and my brakes thump. Does anyone know of a good slotted rotor for the fronts and backs of my ride?

Have a look at these two threads. The first one has some good recommendations for slotted rotors. I have not had the chance to read the second thread completely, but there a couple of recommendations in there I believe.

ive had drilled and slotted rotors on mine now for 2 years, with plenty of hard braking and no problems whatsoever.

It seems a choice between the R1. EBC and Rotora's. Even though the cross drilling is very cool, the consensus is it does limit the contact area of the rotor, it also weakens the rotor a tiny bit and is really only effective under high heat (racing) situations. The just slotted rotors add enough noise (whooshing) and are just as effective under normal loads as the cross drilled without the extra noise the cross drilling adds. Would anyone like to take a shot at placing these rotors in order of preference.

I think all three would be about the same quailty wise. Everyone makes brakes these days and finding one that doesn't corrode or warp may prove difficult. Where do you live? Keeping the rust away will not be easy if you live in snow regions. My rotors, (Raybestos blanks), started to corrode a few weeks after I had them installed mid winter.
