The 97 altimas have distributors instead of coils. I changed the spark plugs and cleared the codes. I drove around for a bit and turned the car off and on several times and i didn't get a CEL. Thanks for the help anyway.

The car will only have one distributor. Common diagnosis procedure is to mix up the coils to have the code follow the bad coil. Hopefully the plugs take care of your issue though.

Check #1 injector with an ohm meter. They should ohm between 11 - 14 ohms.
