Default Parking brake

I have a question about the parking brake on my Altima. Can
the parking cable wear out/stretch to the point where it can't be adjusted anymore? My brake will not hold my car when it is parked uphill, and there are alot of hills inPittsburgh I had it serviced a few months ago and the tech said that it was adjusted as far as it could be. Now I have the same problem with it not holding on hills too well. If it matters, I have a pedal parking brake. Do I need a new cable(s)? Ahny help is appreciated. TY

They need to be adjusted. Any garage will be able to do that for you.

TY. Another question. Since it has been only three months since I had the parking brake serviced for adjustment, am I better off getting new cables? I ask b/c my mechanic said that there was no more adjustment left, if I understood correctly. Anyway, I am concerned b/c I do not want to find my car in my neighbor's kitchen, LOL-sort of As usual, any assistance is appreciated. Am going to set appt. with my mechanic.

It could be the cables, it could be the adjuster cables or any part of the rear emergency setup. Your mechanic should be able to tell pretty quick with an inspection.

Default Parking brake

Thank you for your input about my E brake. Turns out, one of the adjusters was frozen and my mechanic was able to adjust the "travel" of the E brake pedal so it does not travel as far. No danger of my neighbor finding my car in his kitchen at breakfast
