Unhappy Passenger Window rolls down on it's own!!

I've been having issues with my passenger side window. When I pull on the switch to have it go up automatically, it goes all the way up and then back down about half way. It only does it when the car is running. When the car is off and the key is turned to the ON position, it works fine. I 've tried to reset the windows manually, but I think I might be doing something wrong 'cause it didn't work. There doesn't seem to be anything obstructing the window either. I have a 2004 Altima 2.5s.

Anybody have any ideas....

I would take off the door panel and inspect the wiring going to the switch. See if anything is loose or disconnected or even burnt. When I was having problems with my window not wanting to role up in my mustang I gave the door a good hit and haven't had any problems since then. LOL!

It must be something to do with the safety sensor that will stop and roll down the window when something is in the window's path. Inspect all the wires for damage, the window for misalignment, or bring it in..

If you're doing the window motor reset correctly it should fix it. If it doesn't fix it you will probably have to adjust the window regulator by loosening the bolts slightly, go all the way up with the window then back down and tighten the bolts again. Then see if it works.
