Default Poor Altima Audio Quality???

I've had issues receiving FM audio signals in my new Altima... in my old Maxima and my Mazda3 I had great reception everywhere in my area and not so much with the altima. Additionally the sound quality sounds a little "airy" and lacks a certain substance. I'm no audio expert - it just sounds cheap. Anyone else noticing this? Any ideas on ways to fix it?

Yeah, I get the same thing. The FM signals suck.

A local car audio shop said to disconnect the factory built in and get an external roof top (small one) to recieve better strength.

Im considering it when I get all of my audio in my car. All I need is my touchscreen and im done!

It is because of the built in antenna. It won't distort when it looses signal but will blur it. That is why it sounds so unclear or blurry. Use that AUX import to save some money on buying a new antenna.
