Default Potassium in diet

So ive been researching muscle fatigue and i read across that potassium deficiency may be the cause. But i also read that potassium deficiencies are rare. However running through some numbers of my relatively healthy daily diet shows im not getting enough potassium, even if i throw in an extra banana. Am i missing something or is it actually hard to hit 2000mg of potassium a day???

your md may need to put you on a supplement. can be serious, K+ affects all muscle including your heart. extreme hypokalemia can be life-threatening. there are several things to consider, a trip to your dr is in order & a few simple blood tests.

I just looked it up and each banana has over 400 mg of potassium.

I usually throw in a banana or two into my morning cereal or protein shake.

Then another for a snack later in the day. I probably don't get 2000mg a day, but I didn't think I needed that much.

My Kirkland (costco) multivitamin only has 80mg (2% dv).
