Hello guys, I'm a new member. I have a 2008 2.5 SL high Altima. Awesome car.

My power windows used to work fine, auto up and down, then last month my car battery died on me and the dealership replaced it, only to die again a couple days later but as it turns out it wasn't the battery that was the problem, they just forgot to connect it to the alternator.

Long story short, I've only now come to notice that the power windows will no longer automatically go up when I press the auto botton, this happens on both doors. Any ideas? I don't know much about it but sounds like something got deprogrammed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Consider this one solved. I just did a auto UP function reset and it worked great. Thanks.

Mine is doing the same thing. And it started doing it after a recent trip to the dealer.

reset the auto up function, my problem started right after a visit to the dealer as well.
to reset the auto up function be sure to have the front windows (driver and passenger side) about midway up, then press the control to roll up the windows all the way and keep the button pressed to up for about 3 seconds, do 4 just to be sure.
this worked in my case, hope it works in yours.

Yep all you do is reset. If it doesnt work then take to dealership. But usually when u disconnect the battery, you have to reset the windows too.

Wow, this forum is great. I just took my battery cables off to clean the terminals and noticed immediately that the auto up stopped working on both sides. Thanks for the info!
