Default problems with aftermarket stereo...no radio reception

i recently installed an aftermarket head unit in my 05 2.5S, and when i had my factory radio was in, i could get all my radio stations in just fine, but when i put in the aftermarket unit, i got no radio reception for any channels because the car was apparently missing an antenna plug that was supposed to plug into an adapter, which was supposed to plug into the HU....

so my question is; how or why would someone remove the antenna input and how the heck am i able to listen to radio in my car again without putting back in the stock HU?

this head unit was used in my last car and had no problems with radio, apparently the PO of this car took out the antenna input or something??

any help or insight is appreciated.

sounds like a pretty easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing. check out your local car audio shop or something.
