Question Purchase List from DDM Tuning

Need some advice before i purchase the kits from DDM.
I want to get the HID kit for my headlights and my fogs. Have looked at these and have seen their sight offering addtional harnesses and error code eliminators.
Do i need to purchase addtional products along with the kits to make these work? Also, do i need the brackets to mount the ballasts to something? What wattage do you all recommend? 35 or 55? and the color choice, what gives the best all around? Thanks in advance. Missy

I bought the 35w 6000k for my low beams with no issues (using a relay harness helps ur hids to acquire the power straight from ur battery, thus decreasing flickering and its not necessary with 35w kit however if you plan on getting the 55w kit then I would highly recommend it).

I'm pretty sure you don't need an error code eliminator as these are more for European cars such as BMW, Audi, etc.

Brackets are recommended to mount the ballasts but I used double sided 3m tape and zip ties to hold them in place, since these (ddm kits) do not include them.

I recommend the 35w digital kits, 5000k is pure white and gives the best output in headlights. 3000k gives great output in bad weather conditions but its really up to you what you choose for fog lights.

I personally have their 35w 6000k setup for my low beams. It's a bright white with a slight hint of blue...looks like a typical factoy HID light output.

I haven't done it yet, but I also plan to get a 35w 3000k (yellow) set for my foglights.

You won't need any of the extras that they have available. I'm almost certain that things like error code eliminators are for different makes of car that have electrical issues or codes when using the kits.

I don't have an HID kit from ddm but my low beam HIDs are 6k and you can't go wrong. 5k is diamond white, 6k is pure white with a hint of blue like Unclear just posted. Sure the higher numbers like 8k, 10k, 12k are cool but why sacrifice coolness for output. HIDs were designed to let you see farther and with a greater arc. Once I got my HIDs put in, I could see everything including the freeway signs without turning on my high beams.

The only time I turn on my oem high beams is if I'm in a parking garage near the wall and I want to see how much space left I need to pull up in the spot.

As for other accessories, you do not need a relay or one of those error code eliminators. Those are only for european cars like bmw and mercedes benz

Thanks, Everyone for the tips. I will be purchasing the kits very soon. As long as we get some good weather, instead of the snow that's coming this weekend.
