Default push button starting problems

My wifes 07 3.5 SE has been a great car but yesterday it wouls not start while she was out shopping. After a few moments it finally started. Well this morning it would not start and she had to drive my truck to work. She said NOTHING would happen when she tried to start it. She came home for lunch and the car turned over slowly but would not start ( we just had a new battery installed last month). She went inside and later came back out and tried to start it but it would act like she didn;t have the brake pushed in. All the dash lights came on but it would not start. It then started but she was scared to drive it. I came home from work and sure enough when I hit the start button you could hear the electronics activate but nothing else. I hit the starter button again and like earlier it acted like the brake was not pushed and showed that on the dash. after several attempts the car started without problem. I shut it off and restarted it several times without incident. We decided to take it to the dealership. As I pulled up to a stop sign about a block away I noticed VDC light, the SLIP light and the ABS light were all on. They were not when I pulled out. I turned the car off and re started it and the lights went out. Of course, When we got to the dealership the car was acting fine.

The dealership called and said they could not get the car to act up. They didn't say if they put a code reader on it or a diagnostic machine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? or does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks in advance

It's an 07 and you replaced the battery already? Should have gone another year or two at least.

What kind of battery did you put in it? It sounds like either the alternator died (killing the battery and killing the new one already) or the new battery is not up to spec. Or there is a slow drain somewhere, which killed the first battery and will continue to do so.

The dealer needs to run some electrical diagnoses. Battery and alternator checks, specifically.

It's most likely the brake assembly switch the same happened to my wife's 07 and eventually it just stopped turning on altogether , good thing we had the remote starter ( which doesn't work unless you're in the car lol) to get it started. Have them chech it out ASAP or she just might get stuck somewhere. side note the battery died last year during a HOT summer day.
