Default quick question about headlights / HID

ok so i have the DDM Tuning 55w HID kit installed with the stock housing, but now i want to change the housing and thinking about these ones:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-Nissan...item2a1183b7a4

my question is since these are projector lights will the matter for the HID kit or can i just take out my HID kit and plug into this one?

Thanks

i have read threads with some pretty ugly pictures of that set up with hid. cut offs & beam patterns do not look good at all. google "depo headlights altima".

Those projector lenses are horrible. They are a nightmare. If you want projector headlights then look into retrofitting. That's the only way you will be satisfied from doing it. If you don't have the money for that then I would just suggest getting black housing headlights with OE HID reflectors.

^^agree with retrofitting & cost. since you have aftermarket (h1?) hid, you can get almost any of the black housings you want. there are no black housings with bulb sockets that match oem d2s bulbs, only chrome bezel housings. even the oem hid are not projectors.
i have oem hid & want black housing. in order to get them, i have to convert to h1. i need new ballasts & bulbs, or d2s adapters & bulbs.

You could always just bake open the headlights then paint the housings black, black out the reflectors, and even black out the turn signals if you want. Just make sure to use high heat paint.

You have the Depo projector headlights? I've read on another forum about the HORRIBLE cutoff and hot spots they have.

H,mmm The cut off is not really that bad at all a little odd in that its not straight across like most USDM ones but they do look a lot like a lot of the German stuff. The weird thing about the hot spots is that my driver side is great but the passenger side does have a hot spot in it. h,mm maybe i will have to open them up and swap in the e34 projectors lenses i have sitting at home.
