Thumbs up HOW-TO: Remove Tint...the EASY way!

Tint Removal - The EASY way... I have found an easy way to get it done (tried and true method!):

Supplies:
1. Bottle or two of ammonia based spray glass cleaner (windex or something similar).
2. A supply of black trash bags (not the thin nearly see-through type).
3. Approx 1.5 hours of time.
Process:
1. LIBERALLY spray windex onto the tinted window. You need to literally soak the window with the glass cleaner...
2. Cut open a trash bag and cut it so that it is big enough to cover the soaked window..
3. Cover the window COMPLETELY (from edge to edge) with the trash bag. The bag needs to be sticking onto the glass as if you were putting on a new layer of tint. If the bag isnt sticking well, or the window is dry in parts...then you need to spray on more cleaner before the bag will stick...
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each window that needs to be 'de-tinted'...
5. Close the car, park it in the sun. Try to have the window you are working on in direct sunlight if possible...
6. Grab a beer and WAIT...at least an hour...
7. After at least one hour...open the car, and begin to peel the tint off of the glass starting at any edge you can reach.
**If you have followed the steps well, and used lots of glass cleaner (especially at the edges)...then the tint will come off cleanly. Some small amounts of residue may be left. You can either get this off with copious amounts of glass cleaner, a rag and some elbow grease...or with a razor blade.
