As for the rice question......They always seem to be Honda's
To answer Pimp's question on who or why a person would buy a 2.5 over a 3.5..... I bought a new 2.5 over a new 3.5 for these reasons.....
- Insurance cost would be $150 - $300 more per year for a 3.5. (More for people that have a tarnished driving record.)
- 3.5's average 4-5 MPG less than 2.5's and would cost an extra $350 a year for 15,000 miles driving. More if you mainly drive on highways as I do.
- Base cost of a new 3.5sr was $3,000 more than a 2.5s
- While Pimp has a good point that the 2.5 has a worse track record for engine repairs...I can't look into the future and see if the current 2.5s will have a higher cost for repairs, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and do the proper PM on the car.
- Since the 2.5 had plenty of speed for my driving habits the extra HP of the 3.5 would be nice, but not needed.
I calculated I will be saving a total of around $8,000 over a 3.5SR in the 8-9 years I plan on driving the car. That will be a good chunk of change towards my new 2020 Altima.
Just my opinion
