Default Tire cleaning

Am I doing something wrong? I clean my tires with a number of things. Titanium Wet tire spray, Mothers wet tire, armor all wet tire, black magic, and some off brand called turbo wet. I keep having TONS of sling occur later on after I drive around. No matter if I wait one hour to a whole day. Covers the rim and gets ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL over the car. You can hardly see it cause my car is black and so is the stuff but u can see it if u look hard enough. Plus its a pain to get off. What do you guys use?

I think thats gonna happen definitely if you use any of this stuff on your rims. It sounds like thats what you're doing, but let me know if i'm misunderstanding your post.

These products are really only useful to make your tires shiny...pour/spray it onto a rag/sponge...rub/wipe the tire sidewall...and if its a really good brand, most of it will be absorbed by the rubber.

No I screwed up on the post, I said rim cleaning but I meant tire cleaning...my bad (which I dont have a problem) just tire shine. Run off is horrible and covers the rim and body panels.

I use turtle wax tire shine with the supplied sponge applicator. I have no issues with run off at all and it keeps the tires shiny for a long while.

Loll...I do that sort of thing all the time. If you look around the forums, most of my posts have been edited...usually immediately after I hit submit on the original

Anyhow, my advise would be to stick with the thicker products, the gels...and apply with a sponge. Try putting the gel onto the sponge, and then wipe around the sidewall as opposed to applying the product directly to the tire.

Whatever product you use, you may also want to try wiping off any excess (even if you dont see any)...before you begin to cruise

I use Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray or Foam.

To protect the rims I have a cardboard mask cut to the size of the rim and covered it in duct tape (America's fix all ). After spraying, I let it sit for about an hour and them come back with a dry towel and wipe the excess.

what i do when i clean my wheels is that i spray them with Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner, and then i take a bucket of hot water and dish soap and scrub them with the soft side of a dish cleaning sponge. it works well, and the dish soap helps to cut grease. i also use the same process on my tires and it cleans them very well.

what i also do, is i make my own spray mixture of dish soap and water, and naturally when i am initially mixing it i use hot water so the soap dissolves faster.
