Default rough idle

hello all i am new to the nissan forum,i just bought a 95 altima with 100,000 on it and seems to be in decent shape, but it does not idle well at all. it runs good other than the idle.now i am a diesel mechanic but have not worked on a nissan before but it sounds like maybe a leak in the intake manifold or egr problems ? then when i pulled in to work this morning when the car was parked it started idling bad and the cel came on.i am going to check codes tomarrow but just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it might be,i bought this car for just going to work so i dont have to put miles on my diesel so i really need it to run well.ohhh and it has a decent oil leak too. any common place were those come from on these cars?thank alot.
