Default Scratch Remover?

What is the best method of scratch removing you guys have used? I have some light scratches and some that aren't too light but not too bad either. Mainly hood and trunk. I'd like to take care of the scratches the next time I wash/wax my car.

I was thinking about using the Meguire's Scratch X stuff because I can get it at work. Thoughts?

I've found that stuff works well on very minor scratches in the clear coat, but not much more than that.

If you have access to a rotary, get that along with "3M Fine Cut Compound" This will dull the paint to blend the scratch and then use "3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark remover" This will bring that shine back and mask the scratches. Finally, get your favorite wax and give her a nice layer. And I like to claybar my car ever month, you will be surprised what wonders clay bar can do! I go Meguiars for that. But seriously, if havent tried clay bar, please do. It will make your paint feel like glass and make the wax last longer. Oh, on a final note, avoid automatic car washes! pay the extra $$ for a handwash or diy at a local gas staion.

The Meguires Scratch x doesn't do much. I've used almost a hole bottle on my car and it didnt help much.

Scratch X is for light scratches. Worked well for for me. Try getting some rubbing compound then polish it. Then wax. This is if you dont have a roatary.

Will that process damage the clearcoat at all?
