Default So guys, I need your help

Do you guys like the 2009 Maxima? I do.
What about the new Accord Coupe? I do.

Now, Nissan has let me very unimpressed with my 2008 Altima and it's swaying me away from the Maxima, and my 2006 Accord (car before Altima) never had a single rattle or problem. Price wise, with all the discounts on the Max, they are roughly the same. $26,000.

I MAY be trading around May of 2009 and i am just opening my options up.

Let me know which you like better, and why.

For the record the coupe/sedan deal, doesn't bother me. Either is perfectly fine.

I vote Maxima *but* you have to get behind the wheel of each one and see which you like better.

My argument against the Accord is this: they are f$&*ing everywhere. I'm tired of seeing them. You are a unique person and please do not join the mindless Horde of those uncreative enough to find a vehicle that stands out a little.

Interestingly, I have driven a new V6 Accord and the torque steer is ridiculous - think 2004 Maxima, but worse. And the new Maxima supposedly has gotten much better in that regard (yet to put myself in one), but if that's the case it should be a much nicer drive.

I have driven both. I like the more refined ride of the Accord.. One major drawback on the Maxima is the CVT, which i don't even feel like dealing with again.

Might as well just give up & get a V6/6Spd Altima instead. Somewhat lighter, and aren't they within inches of each other in dimensions?

Not to mention they look exactly the effing same.

Maxima is beautiful.. Accord/Altima coupe is too feminine for me but thats just my opinion.

As for the Maxima not having 6Speed (which I don't understand because their conception is all about SPORT), I'm not sure.

What is the problem you're having with the CVT?

Frequent sputtering and loss of power at mid rpm range. But i guess it's "NORMAL" because the dealer is too lazy to fix it.

Oh, and i hate manuals. I do a lot of city driving and they just don't work out for me.

The most hateful, useless, dangerous, annoying, etc, etc thing on this plane are daytime running lights. Accords have them. I will NEVER, EVER buy one. Easy choice then: the Maxima.

The maxima on looks. Reliability for Honda. The Accord may have it slightly beat on the way it drives/feels. The Maxima has more of a fum factor though. It's a toss up with me.

MAxima all the way baby. Screw the Accord. Maxima is all new, and redefined.
