Default Square cover on passenger side on front bumper

Out of curiosity, what is the square cut out with a cover on it. This is on the passenger side of the front end between the fog light housing and the license holder.

Thanks

I am not 100% but I think behind it is the front impact sensor for the airbags? Just a shot

That was my 2nd guess, my first was that you removed it to instal the new muffler bearings.

If you guys haven't figured it out yet, it is for the tow hook. In your truck where the spare tire is (under the trunk mat) you have the spare tire, jack, tire iron thing, and then you have a large eye hook. You remove the plastic square with a flat head screw driver and there's threads that are laser cut into the frame of the car. You just screw on the eye hook and attach cables to the eye hook.

It was decided for the 2012 model year to discontinue this feature. The dealership I use informed me that it was discontinued because incompetent tow operators were using the eye bolt to strap down cars and torquing the front bumper.
