will staggered fit?
i am looking to buy a set of TSW rims, they are 20x8.5 in front and 2ox10 in the rear. they are VERY cheap, and are rims only so i still need tires. anyway i have the 05 altima 2.5S and just dropped it on Eibach Sportlines this weekend. the stock 16s still have room to play, so i wanted to see if these will fit. thanks alot. im new and will be posting pics soon.

I had 245 35 20's on mine at first and it rubbed everytime I hit and bump or had people in the back seat. They'll fit, but go with a 235 35 or a 225 35 20 if you don't want to rub in the back.

Yea I would like to know the answer behind this question as well. I have a set of Axis Super pentas that were on my G35 and dont really want to get rid of them. I want to throw them on my Altima. They are 20x9 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. Any Mod needed to be done I'll do them I love these wheels. Plus I want to go All blk everything LOL

I want to make the car look good... I know it doesn't do anything at all for the car... plus if they fit I won't have to go through the trouble of getting new wheels since I already own these... I had them on my G for abt 4 mths they are still new...

They will fit, I'm sure. To be honest, you may end up having to either roll your fenders in the rear, or run the wider rims on the front. Since you already own them, why don't you throw them on and see what the outcome is?

I have 20x9's on the front and 20x10's on the back of my Altima sedan. I'm running 245-35-20's all the way around. I had to shave the fenders in the back, but if you have any basic power drill and go buy some grinders from AutoZone/Orielly's/PepBoys or some place like that, it takes no time to do. It took me literally an hour to shave mine. Take those back tires off and get to it. Wear goggles or some type of eye protection.

Why buy Air Jordan's VS tennis shoes from Walmart? Why pick red over blue? Why pick blondes over brunettes? Why put aftermarket rims on a car period over the stock rims with better tires?
It's all cosmetic, and all choice.

i hear a lot of people say bad things about staggered on FWD and how its bad for the car, but i guess if your just buying for looks then its fine. it was just a question

I always wondered about this myself, since I love the staggered look.
I've heard that its bad, but only from the type of people that I generally wouldnt take any advice from. Sometimes people are just negative by habit, and will tell you something is bad/dangerous w/out having any supporting reasoning though...
When thinking about it, I suppose that the staggered stance may dramatically alter the handling characteristics of the car, but I havent found out specifically how. The wider footprint both front and rear should most likely lead to a decrease in mpg because the bigger contact patch (tire contact with the road) would mean increased rolling resistance (i think).
The car might also respond differently than you would expect at the limits, like high speed cornering for example.
In truth, the logical way to put staggered wheels on a FWD would most likely be to put the wider wheels in the front so the drive wheels have more contact with the road (grip)...this would be good for acceleration. However the front wheels are also for steering, sooo...wider may not be better in that case.
I have lots of thoughts about this, but no facts...I would not want to talk anyone out of doing something that they wanted to with their ride...but it is always advisable to do your research before deciding for or against a mod like this...

For handling purposes you always will want more grip in the rear. If it's purely cosmetic then all the power to ya and since you own them already, all the better.
