Default Steering Lock Release Malfunction Indicator

Hello All, First post here ! Well Ill jump right in. I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with 51,000 miles. Me and the family got in the car to leave church tonight and it would not start. "Steering Lock Release Malfunction Indicator" was displayed on the dash. I looked in the owners manual and it said to lightly turn the wheel back and fourth while pushing the start button. This went on for 45 min with no luck. So I guess Mon morning Ill have to have it towed. Anyone seen this problem ?
