How many of you have received your economic stimulus payment and what do you plan on spending it on?
I received mine last Friday. I am going to try and put it in savings but insurance is due so not sure yet. I may also buy some gears for my mustang. Not sure yet though. I will let ya know in a couple of days what I did with it.
"Stimulus" check, ha - what a joke, it's Bush's lame attempt to put a smile on our face since the economy and gas prices are shi*. My so called "Stimulus" check was a whopping $333.00 - that wasn't even enough to stimulate my senses lol.
Anyways.. money went straight to bills. I actually received it early morning on the 21st and it is now 2:12am on the 22nd and the check is gone.. and the only thing I "stimulated" was my creditors huge billion dollar company.
Well, us married folks with children will get slightly more and it will go directly into my money market account. I would like to use it to mod my new altima but I am going to have to wait for my next fat tax return for that so the wifey isn't too angry with my selfish car modding ways!! lol
I haven't seen mine yet. I was supposed to get it on the 16th but I had to amend my return so I guess they have to do more paper work or something before I get it. Probably spend mine on daycare. It's rediculously expensive.
The "Stimulus" check isn't some free money scheme that Bush put together. Bush implemented some tax cuts that will go into effect for the 2008 tax year. Instead of waiting until mid 2009 to benefit from the new cuts, they calculated what we "would" get based on our 2007 filings, and cut us a check not a bad plan!
