from what I've read with the K&N, the transmission hose is plastic whereas the takeda is rubber and they give you quite a bit of slack. What took a long time for me was trying to get that hose onto the threaded coupler, so I had to use needle nose pliers to get it on, so it took a little longer, but didn't get any error codes once I hooked the battery back up.
My mpg went down quite a bit only because I was getting used to the sound. After that, I get about 1-3 more mpg for both city and highway. I imagine it'll drop down again when I get axlebacks!!
