I'm seeing the K&N, Takeda and Fujita intakes and I can't imagine one performs better than the other given the design and the fact that an intake isn't really going to make a butt-dyno difference on our cars (3.5). I have to assume is comes down to a combination of price and quality of parts.
I always feel comfortable with K&N but it looks like a lot of you guys are running the Takeda intakes. Any reason for this? K&N runs $225 on Amazon and Takeda runs $249.
Well that k&n is on a 100 dollar off sale it seems lol AEM has a intake and its not cheap. Looks the best imo but gives off the same numbers almost. Then u have nismo and stillen. I got my Takeda cause of the price. The quality is also great
I've never heard of Takeda but I've read that K&N runs somewhere in the neighborhood of 2hp greater (not that 2hp makes much of a difference) over all the others but someone please correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm about to order one myself

yeah I got my takeda because of the price since I was also looking at the Injen and K&N. The K&N for the 4 cyl model has a heat shield...the 4cyl takeda model doesn't have a heat shield...there is one for the 3.5 model.
I believe the Injen is CARB legal. Takeda isn't, but I'll worry about that in 2015 and I've kept my OEM intake which won't be hard to swap out.
Another advantage over the K&N with the Takeda is that the Takeda uses a dry flow filter, so one less step and less costly since you'll have to buy an oil recharge kit for the oil based intakes.
