Traction control was an optional upgrade on our cars. Don't feel too left out, I don't have it either!

Yeah, the SE-R was just about a $30k car, I think it's pretty cheap of Nissan not to bother throwing some traction control in.

Unless you are on ice or snow, it's not really needed. I actually wish sometimes I didn't have it. It cuts the throttle hard and short shifts on you. It can make you look like an idiot pretty quick, lol.

yeah, I have it,...but it still eats the meat off the tires, just not as bad. Tires will still spin with it on, just not white smoke them. So,...it really has no purpose except in bad weather I guess.

^^Boy, that's not been my experience at all. At the slightest sign of slippage my car will cut the throttle and will not let the power come back until you let off, or it finds traction. I have gotten into the habit now of turning the darn thing off when I get in the car, it's that bad.

Even if I had it on my SER I wouldn't use it unless I was in the snow and I might not even use it then. I HATED it on my 350. By far the worst traction control I ever had because of how long the car would be robbed of power. When it comes to traction in an SER (or any Altima) if Nissan really cared about us they would have given us an LSD.

I think it's just ok in the snow. It does let you know when you're driving harder then you should be. I assume this system would be similar to the 350.

LOL @ paper weight! That's a good analogy.
