I dont know if its small or bigger but it is supposed to be more effecient and make more horsepower.

The pulley does not make HP, it is supposed to free up HP by "underdriving" the alternator, ac compressor, etc...(it makes your accessories spin slower), if it's the underdrive pulley you are referring to. They also make a lightened pulley. Either way, if you do some research you will find there is not much to gain. Save your money for other things IMO...

The pulley will save weight on the moving mass of the engine assembly (1lb vs. 7lb+) Each pound saved equates to about +1.5 HP. Underdriving the accessories saves power also. The throttle response is improved as a result of the lower engine mass. For less than $150 it is not a bad upgrade. Ralco RZ and Unorthodox Racing are popular.

I know I'm late, but I wes skeptical about doing this mod too, but in the end, very well worth it! You definately feel it take off much easier.

I have heard a few say the pulley messes up the engine, but I think its false, since the engine is internally balanced and less weight should mean less affect on it. I will being looking to add it on my mods.
I see you have a raceline Y-pipe and plate block-off. How do you like them?

Love em both. Both are very easy to install as well. People say there is a loss of low end power with the block off plate, but I dont feel it. I always felt that there was too much low end torque anyway. BUt I love how she pulls after 3k. It really does make a positive difference. Feel free to contact the owners of Racingline(Taz) and NWP(Aaron). They are both active members on NissanClub and are great to work with.

the pulley is pretty hard to pull out/install especially if you don't know what you're doing...
and you'll have one hell of a time loosening the nut if you don't have an impact gun...
