Default upgrading speakers w/ factory bose

alright i am getting sick of the sorry sound coming from the speakers. i have the factory "BLOSE" system and am wanting to change the speakers without too much trouble. Can i use the factory speaker harnesses with an adapter plug and simply drop speakers in for the time being without having to re-wire or upgrade the factory head unit??

you will still have to run wires even if you bypass the bose amp. the problem is the low 1 ohm rating of the bose system if i remember correctly.
there are instructions for tapping into the harness before the bose amp on nissanclub. i used them to add an amp & sub. that helped in filling out the sound.

As mentioned above the bose has weird ohms rating. You can install new speakers but with the bose built in crossover and weird ohms you have to use something like a JBL MS8 and add new amp to run your new speakers.

it's just easier to remove the bose completely and go aftermarket. But if you like the bose and just want better bass, people just add a mono amp and sub and use a line-out converter
