I have a loaded 2005 Altima 3.5 SL. I have added an AEM intake, grounding kit, and just added Magnaflow cat-back. Planning to add Stiilen sway bar next. Any suggestons for next engine mods?

A good cheap mod is the NWP VIAS delete plate. Racingline y-pipe is awesome as well. And it'll work awesome with your exhaust.

I suppose a lot of it depends on how much you want to budget for the car...

Default Y pipe

I got my Magnaflow system for just over $400. The $300+ for a Y-pipe seems a bit high. I hear good things about it though. Any place to get it cheaper you suggest? Headers would be good too, but a pain to install on this car. Not sure which is better...

Does the delete plate have any down side? I am thinking an UD pulley might be worth it too. Supposed to make the throttle response much better.

Delete plate does cause a slight dip in your lower rpms. But as torquey as our cars are, I don't think it's anything bad. A buddy has the UD pulley and said it's not worth the cost. If the gains were higher, it would be a better investment.

How much louder is it with the y-pipe, deleting the cat? I would think about it if I could find one closer to $200.

Any suggestions on an ECU reprogram, or plug-in tuner? I am looking at either a Technosquare reflash or Bully Dog tuner.

Get a turbo or supercharger kit and be done, all these litle cheap N/A mods take FOREVER to get any real gains and sure you're car will be reliable and the like... but there is nothing like FI power

Nothing like it I agree, but thousands for a kit plus all the related mods required puts it out of my price range. Small steps and getting the most bang for the buck for me....

The most common issue is a loss of low end torque. Up top, however, this mod gives you a 10hp bump, (dyno proven). NWP sells the block off plate for $40. It is easily the best bang for your buck.

Choose your vehicle, the plate should be the third item.
