Default Want to put 22's on my Altima!

OK so I want to try and put some 22's on my ride but haven't been able to....I know I am gonna go with 255/30/22 tires and 22x8.5 rims....I've been told that I'll need to have it lifted in order for them to fit.....any suggestions on how I can do this?

20's are big enough - IMO - Here is a thread of my old Altima I had on 20's.

Well if it was a 3.5l then i would discourage it cause its basically a waste. Good luck with flats tho. There's a old cutless in my jobs parking lot on 28s with a flat. Been sitting there a week.

Two year old bump, not sure if that was necessary.

ok so to be straight with you i wouldnt even try it . if you have 20's now it wouldnt be worth spending that kind of money for a combined total of 8' more. think about this, if you do decide to mount then mine as well get a front and rear camber/ caster kit cause youre going to need that to do an alignment an oh adjustable coiliovers set to max height. The dude that did my alignment after lowering mine said id need one for the rear cause i was .2 over the spec settings . if you have that kind cash laying around id say put it into a forced induction set up, stillen has a supercharger kit that bolts on to the VQ motors pretty nicely. Complete kit 6K all components IC plumbing belts ect.

Dont do it to her.

18's or 19' would be your best bet.
These sizes are good in terms of looks and performance.

To be honest 22" you'd probably have to do some fender rolling and tire tucking to be able to fit it without any rubbing. I personally have 20x8.5 and I did have a few issues with rubbing in the beginning. I personally would recommend 20x8.5 though the ride is still smooth and it fills the tire wells out nicely. Here is a picture of my 2007 on 20'.

you had to lower the car for it to sit that low with 20's. if you bough a lowering kit greater the 1.4 in the front and .8 in the rear then i can see the need for rubbing issues. i put the eibach pro on my car and havent had issues. what are your tire sizes ?
