Default Warning Beep when door is opened

Hey gang,

My 2008 seems to continuously beep once the door is open until I shut it. It always happens when I open the door before I turn it off. It sometimes happens when the door is opened a bit too early and sometimes not.

Is there a way to disable this annoying "feature"

Normally the rapid beeping results from the ignition being turned off with the shifter out of park. Or the continuous beep when the car is out of park and the I-Key is removed from it. What exactly are your conditions, and which sound are you hearing?

Stop, put it in park, push the button and open the door. 4 beeps pause, 4 beeps pause forever until the door is closed or restart the car.

If I wait 3-4 seconds after pushing the button to open the door, no beeps. Sometimes even waiting 1-2 secs is OK, other times I can open the door right away and nothing, it seems to be inconsistent.

hold down lock and unlock for 2-5 seconds on one of the key fobs, your noise should go away.

Each time I shut the car off or one and done?

If every time, then that is not a solution as the fob never leaves my pocket and if I am going to hold the button for 2-5 seconds, I might as well get out and shut the door

No, If you hold the two buttons down for 2 - 5 seconds (just once) That will turn off the beeping.

That doesn't even shut it off for that time, let alone after that. No luck
