Read a little more about the ser calipers. They won't require any modification to mount, but you will need to upgrade your wheels for clearance. You need pads to fit the larger calipers and rotors to work with the larger pad contact area. If you're finding it difficult to locate calipers you can go with 04+ Maxima calipers as well.

A good option to find a set is to check craigslist...not just for your area either. Check neighboring states also.

I also recommend eBay...if you see a great deal, jump on it because you can be sure that someone else is looking for em too.

Don't be afraid to buy one wheel at a time from eBay if you definitely want these wheels.

...I'm mobile.
Its easy cause the SER was a rare car compared to the Z and G. I think the Maxima rims look really good. Not the plain jane stock ones but more of a premium version. I've seen it on a number of new maximas.

Ya I have got a seller thats set aside a pair of se-r calipers just the fronts. who really cares if I have all four..but I am also getting my 19 7th gen maximas friday so I am excited!!! They basically look exaclty the same as se-r's except they are an in. bigger and are a little more 3d and have more shape then the ser. The se-r's are kind of a flat surfaced apperance..as opposed to the 3d look of the maximas. Should have plenty of clearence by the time I get the calipers.

My Next step is getting my wheels and tires alligned. Is it a HUGE deal if I don't?? an dust use a jack and throw them on myself...? or am i putting myself at risk? How much are rotors and pads going to run NEW?

Ya only the premium maximas have this option and its a rare one. Ill definetly be the first person in my area that has a altima w/ 7th gen maxima wheels. HAHA its going to look flush..may not even have to lower it now.

An alignment is not necessary, but once you find out how much 19" tires will cost, I imagine you'll want to protect your investment as much as possible. Do you know if the wheels will come properly balanced? It might be just as easy to take it to a shop to do a balance and install. You can get an estimate on the brake install while you're there. There are lots of places to buy pads and rotors which makes it difficult to tell you how much parts will cost. Full retail would be around $150 - $200 for parts.

good pads are about 60 bucks. Green stuff, yellow stuff and hawks are good. Go with some brembo blanks or slotted rotors. The blanks may be about 60 as well but the slotted or drilled rotors will run between 110 to 200 a pair

lol ya I know tires are going to be very steep for the 19's but thats a sacrifice I am willing to take. Thankfully the guy I am getting them from is local and they have tires and probably are balanced and up to code. I think that he said there was 50% tread on two and 75% on the other two. So I should'nt have to deal with tires for a month or two..well depending how aggresively I drive lol.
