No, the BCM has nothing to do with bags. The Bag Brain controls everything in the SRS system directly, and the only other controllers it talks to are the cluster and sometimes the ABS. The '05's all had passenger bags, just not all of them classified the passenger. OCS's main job is to detect a baby or juvenile in the seat and suppress the bag (or set it off at low power on later models) depending on the passenger's weight. Without OCS, the bag will just blow unconditionally.

Ah this makes a lot of sense seeing as the airbag managed to break my windshield. I’m going to be pulling some more parts from someone and maybe I’ll be able to pull another air bag module from them if i don’t have to have it programmed to the car. Thank you so much.

It isn't one harness. For the seats it's three, Main, Body, and Engine Room. For the steering controls it's just Main, but you'll need a different head unit and possibly a new spiral cable. Be advised that the console and dashpad both need to be removed to replace the Main Harness. It isn't a small job.
So it was, it seems that I have to plan it well.

I did some research and figured out the third connector for the AC controls was actually the light for the air bag light. I actually was able to confirm it with the light I had from a previous part buy I did on an SER too bad I need to get another ac cover now. Maybe I'm missing something with the connector and will realize it when I actually re-install the dash after I change this heater core Thanks for the help! Where did you get the schematic from?

Also I'm a little confused with the steering wheel controls. The harness I had only had two connectors for the radio. Isn't there supposed the be three for the new harness with the controls?
Are there going to be three?

It's all one operation. When you program keys, the IMMU, BCM, and ECM are all memorizing the same code information. There's no separate op for the IMMU.
Damn okay i thought i could get around reconfiguring the BCM by just swapping in another one from a junk yard haha. A friend of mine has a snap on scanner so I’m gonna see if they can get the BCM reconfigured for me. Thank you!

when I swapped the harness, the car it came from had the occupation sensor so It came with the air bag light connector, Since the car was in an accident i purchased a new air bag module that had the wiring for the sensor thanks to what VStar650CL told me and now the air bag light comes on.

I am in the middle of wiring up the passenger seat now using the two wires from the brown connector and will wire them up once i get the seat harness.

Also this harness had the relay wiring for heated seats but didn’t come equipped with them. I got the seat relay and the lights on the seat came on. After that i tapped into the wires on each side of the main harness and ran them into the seats to get heated seats to work for both driver and passenger

Thought I’d wired up the occupancy sensor correctly but I’m still getting this code, the wires seem correct and the ground is good but for some reason this code keeps coming back and the passenger air bag light stays on. Is there a possibility i need to have the bag reprogrammed?

Did you install the passenger seatbelt out of the donor car? B1019 is for the belt tension sensor, cars without ODS don't have one. The sensor is part of the belt assembly and it connects through the Body #2 Harness, so you might need to get a connector and route wires direct to it from the passenger seat harness.

Ahhh this makes a lot of sense now thank you for this schematic, I didn’t know this was the difference between the seatbelts. I’ll get the belt from the donor now thank you so much!

So from the seat belt tensioner connector I’ve got the Y/B, B/Y and Yellow wire, But some how from the seat I’ve got a yellow and white wire. I’m not sure if these wires are supposed to connect considering they aren’t the same color and since they are from the same car. Maybe when i cut the whole wire loom the full yellow wire came from the air bag module? No clue here

Put transmission fluid and coolant and the car runs perfect, I've got little things to do and i should have it complete within a couple weeks.
I did notice that the air bag light is solid on the dash, I'm not sure what could cause this considering I have no airbag codes and the crash sensor was replaced. I also noticed the seat belt light isn't showing on the dash even though it did not too long ago. I'm hoping it's just some fuses I need to look at but maybe the airbag light is linked to the seat belt light?

The seatbelt signal to the cluster will come from the Bag Brain, but if the Brain is talking then it has to have power. If it's absent on the scan then it's a good bet you just popped the Brain fuse. Not all scanners will detect an absent unit, and the non-functional belt lamp would suggest it's offline.
