Took Altima to shop and they said it would be 2-3k to replace heater blender. I can't imagine this is the answer.
The heater is blowing cold air and there is not any air going thru the dash for the defroster.
Any ideas what is wrong and what parts i need to fix?

Thanks!

None of the actuators are all that difficult to replace, Motor quotes 0.6 hours for the Mix actuator and 0.4 for the Mode. However, it's possible your HVAC Unit has stripped actuator splines or broken doors. If that's the case then a new HVAC is the best fix. You might be able to strip it down and replace parts, but the dash still needs to come out regardless of whether it's repaired or replaced. If you want to do self-diagnosis, take the Mode and Mix actuators loose and see if they operate when unattached to the doors. If not, then your problem is bad actuators or some other electrical issue. If they do, inspect the splines and see if they're stripped, and use a screwdriver to operate the doors manually with the blower running to see if they're jammed or broken. That will cover all the bases and tell you exactly what's wrong. Here's a diagram of the locations on an Auto A/C, the Manual is the same but has no passenger Mix Actuator. Number 3 is the driver's Mix (or both for Manual), number 4 is the Mode Actuator:
