While driving my 2011 altima, the engine will stop responding to the gas pedal. The car will only creep along at 2 or 3 mph. If the car is in neutral or park, the engine WILL respond to the gas pedal, but if in drive or reverse there is NO response. The next thing that happens shortly afterwards is my battery will die. If I turn the car off, it needs to be jumped to get it restarted. I have had the mass airflow sensor replaced before and this will help with the acceleration, but I'm not sure why my car dies shortly after this happens. Please advise

Sounds like either your battery connections are loose/corroded or your alternator is crapping out intermittently, and it's either sending the ECM into "limp mode" or compromising the fuel supply. First thing is, get a scanner on it to see if there are any codes. Post what you find, low batteries can cause a lot of meaningless "garbage codes" but we can help you sort out what means anything and what doesn't.
