Recently purchased a 2012 Nissan Altima S 2.5. Low miles, great price. Aside from the usual things of a used car she rides great! Recently the service engine light has came on and the only thing it shows is for the Vapor Vent Valve. I changed the valve, reset and deleted the code and about a day later it came back and is showing saved as a PTDC. It's done over 20 cycles and still is on. Is there another valve or solenoid I will need to change that is part of that system? It's a bit annoying.

Problems at the Vent Valve are usually from the rubber o-ring around the valve and not the valve itself. However, a lot of the same codes you get from a leaky VCV can also be caused by a cracked canister or a leaky or blocked hose, or even a bad gas cap. On the other hand, if it's an electrical "hard code" like P0447, that almost always means a wiring problem when a new valve doesn't fix it. It will help if you post what the code is.

P0448 is usually from a flooded or full canister, although it can also be from a blockage in the canister plumbing. If you don't find water draining from the canister when you take it down, weigh it. Limit is 4.6 lbs, if it exceeds that then it's saturated and needs to be replaced.
