2013 Nissan Altima SV serpentine belt help!!

Hi everyone I just changed out my belt tensioner, and now I'm having the hardest time getting my new belt on, I have the tensioner pinned to the second hole but I am having such a hard time getting my belt to slip over the pulleys, it is like the belt is short by a half an inch. Has anyone else experience this, or have any tricks.

I original problem the car had was a bad alternator and after I changed that out and put the old belt back on and drove a few miles the belt shredded and that is when I noticed the belt tensioner had also failed also. Now I'm in a situation with a new tensioner new belt that I cannot get on but all of my research show all of my parts are correct for this car. Any help would be much appreciated.

New belts won't go over the crank pulley no matter how hard you try. There's only one place to get it to slide on, that's the A/C pulley. If it won't go over at the A/C, then maybe it's the wrong belt.
Thanks, that's where I am at, the belt won't slip over the a/c pulley. I have another belt coming in tomorrow hopefully that goes on ok. The belt I have is a 6pk1430, I have a 6pk1440 coming hopefully the 10mm will be enough and not too much.
10mm in length isn't going to equate to 10mm linear at the adjuster, so if it's only missing by a little, that should do it. I wouldn't worry much about it being too long. (y)
Yes that exactly what I was thinking,I think it will be exactly what I need. Just frustrating spending a few days doing a job that should take a few hours.
I've been thinking of doing this preemptively. Would you mind giving me your mileage at this point? THANKS!
I'm am right under 100k. Make sure you check if your car has electric power steering or not there are two different belt and tensioner sizes.

Who would have guessed? I'm glad I asked! You're on top of things. Thank you!

That's actually easy, the gen5's ('13~'18 sedan) all have EPS, the gen4's ('07~'12 sedan and '07~'13 coupe) all have belt-driven P/S.
