Good day, while driving the altima for over an hour the vehicle will have limited acceleration but I can have high rpm when pressing the gas pedal. This seems to happen more often when driving around town with stop and go traffic. I can shut the car off, restart and it fixes the issue temporarily. If I drive on the highway, the issue doesn't seem to be present. Only when I drive around town. I changed the air filter and sensor but same issue. Engine is 2.5l. I'm new and did a search on the forum and couldn't find this issue. Hope I'm not duplicating. Thanks in advance

P0776 by itself usually indicates a failing front pump. The pump isn't serviceable individually and requires tearing down the tranny, so a bad pump means either a rebuild or replacement. Confirmation is to check the line pressure with an external gauge, normal pressure is around 110 psi at idle and around 800~850 psi at stall. If it's significantly lower, the tranny is toast. If it's normal then you might get out with replacing the Valve Body.
