Just bought a new 2020 Altima SR for my wife and a 2019 SL for myself. The SR doesn't have the auto dimming mirror with Homelink and I want to add one to it.

Does anyone know if the SRs come with the wiring for the electrochromatic mirror or will I need to run the wires for it? Has anyone tried this?

Thanks!

I removed the overhead console in my 2019 SR and I couldn't find any wiring up there to plug and play an upgrade mirror. I'm wanting to upgrade to the auto dimming home link mirror also.

I think it's the luck of the draw. Some have it and some don't. I found a kit on Amazon that has everything you need except the accessory pigtail, but you can get that on Amazon also. The mirror can probably be found elsewhere for less but the $212.00 is still a good price.

The installation instructions are here: https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/asistgc_1/USENG/diskdocs/1/V/Z/1VZ35.PDF

Mirror Kit: $212.00

Accessory Service Connector: $19.07

I ended up purchased a used home link auto dimming mirror from eBay out of a 2013 Infinity for $19.80 and a wiring harness for it also from eBay $16.00. The 3 wire harness comes with instructions Ground, Constant power, and Accessory power.
Total cost $35.80

Wiring harness

Works great in my 2019 Altima SR
