Hi, I'm really bufful about this is with my Nissan altima 09 2.5 s.
My brother decided to gave me his car because he's going in the Navy. This car still looks like when he first bought it,he took real good care of however when he came to visit me from New Jersey to Massachusetts the car suddenly stop moving forward or backwards when you put it into drive or reverse. The car has 180k miles and always had service done periodically. These code came up
P0730
P1701
P3438
P1715
P0746.
We don't think it's the transmission because there was never any hit of the transmission giving in so before I change and replace the transmission I thought it would be worth the shot to see if anyone has ever encountered this type of issue. Any advice will be really appreciated.
Thank you for

P0730 - Incorrect gear ratio. The CVT (transmission) belt is slipping.
P1701 - TCM (transmission controller) power is down. May be a blown fuse, but the fuse may be blowing because of a problem inside the tranny.
P3438 - Doesn't show up as a good code.
P1715 - Ratio mismatch between the engine RPM, input shaft RPM, and output shaft RPM. Probably also triggered by belt slip.
P0746 - Low output gear ratio. Probably also triggered by belt slip.

What that all adds up to is that the CVT belt is probably broken, not just slipping. If so, your tranny is done. Only a new trans or complete overhaul will fix that.
That is not what I was hoping to find out.
But thanks so much for this input.
