Sounds like it's in "limp mode" because of a problem in the engine or tranny, so the ECM is limiting throttle opening. I presume the MIL (engine light) is lit. If so, scan the ECM and TCM for codes and you'll find out what's going on.

Not all trans codes will light the MIL. In fact, with CVT's, most of them won't. Make certain you didn't over-fill the CVT even a tiny bit, half a pint high is enough to foam the fluid and destroy the belt. Depending on the codes, some will clear themselves and some won't. If yours won't, you'll need to find a TCM-capable scanner.

I have an 09 and it's still does not throw a light on when it goes into lymph node the only way to get out of limp mode is either unhook the battery for a while or there's a Iway you can pump the pedal like five times with the engine off and then turn it on and pump the panel hold a pedal to the floor for 10 seconds I can't remember the procedure you can find it but it will just go back into limp mode sometimes within feet until you find out what the codes are to fix the problem
