Hello! I have recently bought a 2019 Altima SV. Interested in Upgrading to Cold Air Intake. Any Suggestions and Recommendations will be appreciated
Plus you'll lose horsepower from sucking in warm engine-box air. Rogo has it right, big waste of money. The Altima already has a factory built-in Cold air intake (CAI). You would just be wasting your money unless you would like the noise an aftermarket CAI would make.
Does your SV have the 2.0 turbo or the 2.5 NA?Hello! I have recently bought a 2019 Altima SV. Interested in Upgrading to Cold Air Intake. Any Suggestions and Recommendations will be appreciated
Thank you for the info. The AEM CAI for the KR20 turbo actually does add a few horsepower according to some unverified dyno results from other posters. The turbo CAI probably does enhance airflow to some extent just by straightening out the path. The OE intake on the KR20 is long and twisted, unlike the PR25. Their CAI for the PR25 basically just replaces the OE airbox (which has a short path to begin with), so I'd be dubious about it producing real power gains. If you like the way it looks and sounds, that's a different story. The AEM CAI's are the only good ones I know about, and while they do look and sound great, at around $300 they're a pricey upgrade. Judge the worth for yourself.
