Hey, While working on my Altima (2.5) The plug that goes to the alternator broke. I bought a replacement, but am unsure of which order the wires go in. It's a 3 wire connector and the wire colors are Brown, Green, and yellow. I've looked all over and can't find any information with a car that has these color wires. Please help.

And your opinion could it be that relay box everything else was running The AC was running headlights stereo GPS all that was running there was no ABS lights on or anything like that The only thing was the alternator wasn't charging the battery it kept dropping All fuses were good I'm stumped
If that alternator fuse is good then either your alternator is dead or you made a bad splice on the connector repair. You should check the latter first, of course. That fuse feeds the orange wire, so you should show 12V there. If not there's a bad splice.
PS - If you didn't use solder-shrinks for the splices, you should. They're God's gift to good wire repair, waterproof and permanent. You can get a whole box for under $10:

Just slide them over the wire like you would with regular heat shrink. Twist the wires and put the solder ring over the twisted ends, heat with a gun or lighter till the solder melts. Easy-peasy and much better than traditional butt-crimps, especially for engine box connections.
All right thank you so much for your input You've definitely given me some things to look at different viewpoint I will definitely be hitting you up in the coming days because truth be told I don't really know what I'm doing lol but I'm too broke to pay for a specialist
I have a question. I just purchased a new pigtail for my alternator but the wires are not matching up can anybody help me. It's a 2015 nissan altima 2.5l

That's #1 cylinder (passenger side), and the view of the connector is Harness Side (looking from the side where the wires enter the shell). The R/W (12V) and B (ground) wires will be the same color and position on all 4 coils. The odd man on each coil is the signal wire, cylinders 2~4 respectively are G/R, L/B, G/Y.

Should be Brown-Green-Yellow just like the OP. From the pic it seems likely someone repaired it before, try stripping back the tubing and see if you find splices.

Thank you I will try it on my next day off and post results.
Turns out the wire colors were just extremely faded. When I stripped them back they were actually Brown, green and Yellow. I was able to wire up a new harness and I'm back on the road. Appreciate the help!
Mixing aluminum and copper wire isn't a great idea, but there are copper ones out there:

Use something like these to splice it for a permanent, waterproof fix. Solder shrinks are God's gift to good wiring repair:

I am looking for this connector for a 2011 nissan altima s with 2.5l motor and all I see is for a different year or motor. Anyone know where to get one for my particular model?
Nissan FAST shows the '11 and '12 QR25 take the same alternator, so this plug should fit your car too:

Thanks. This says it will take a week to get here so I may see if I can locate it somewhere where the shipping is shorter.
