When i first start the car in the morning the radio works . With in minutes the volume goes out and i have no sound the rest of the day. The radio and navigation system seem to be working just no sound . Any ideas ?

Chances are the amp is overheating. Unless it's Bose, the amp is built into the head unit. For Bose it's a separate unit mounted under the rear deck, accessed through the trunk.

I was thinking the Amp. It is a bose . i think i will start there
