Hey everyone! First off, I'm not really sure what to call this part of the car, so I've attached some images. But to describe, it looks like these areas on the side panel behind the door have some sort of sticker near the bottom of the car on them, and they've eroded over the years.

I'm wondering if I should have this section painted, or if there's a way to simply get a replacement 'sticker' to place over this, or do you have another idea?

Any directional advice or expertise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm preparing to sell this 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE (6-Speed), so I want to get it back in tip-top shape! (Sad to see it go, I've been driving it for just over 10 years now! Needing more space)

The part underneath the door is called a Rocker Panel. I don't think that adhesive is from anything factory, and it's not in the right spots to be from OE accessories like splash guards or rub strips. Have you tried adhesive remover to just clean it up?
^ Thanks for that... Good to know! That's what I'll do this week to remove it. Thanks for the help!
