My 2019 Altima SL AWD will not roll roll down the windows with the key FOB as outlined in the following Nissan YouTube video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TJMod4YgVs

I've contacted Nissan Customer Support and they are unable to tell me if my SL supports this feature or not, so I don't know if its just not supported on the SL or its broken. I would imagine the 2019 SL would support this feature since my 10, 13 & 16 Altima's all had this feature.

If anyone on this forum with a 2019 SL verify if this feature works on their car. I would greatly appreciate. Thank you

It should work, on any trim where the Windows have the Auto down/up feature. I have a 2019 SV Trim and it worked but now I have the same issue has you. My Windows will NOT roll down using the Intelligent Key FOB.

I can auto roll them up/down with the Key in the door, or using the auto up/down button, but not with Key FOB.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I had a 2008 S trim and this feature worked like a charm for 10 years.

Thanks for replying hilldawg48.

I also can roll down the windows with the door key.

I contacted Nissan directly and they confirmed that this feature should work on all Altimas. Of course they want me to take it to the dealer for repair. I just wonder if there's some hiddesetting in the main features that somehow toggles this feature on and off just like the "Remote Start"

2020 Platinum awd. No dice on rolling down the windows either with the FOB or the key blade. I also went through the settings menu on the advanced drive assist display and couldn't find any setting to turn this feature on or off. Although, full disclosure, I haven't bothered looking in the manual yet..

For those looking for an answer on this subject, I have my dealership finding out if this is really an option on our cars. The service guy that I talked to said that it should be (as he showed it to me on his 2016 Tundra), but when he tried to do it to my car (both with the key fob and the key itself), the car would not do it. So, he is doing the research and will probably be calling up Nissan to see what they say. I agree with the rest of you that it is shown in the videos that the car has the feature. Lets see what they say.

Full Disclosure: I am a salesperson at a Nissan dealership in WA (15 years so far). One of our Master techs told me that Nissan has axed this feature because too many people would accidentally lower their windows (eg.Sitting on their Fob) and then complain that their car was broken. I had hoped maybe it was a feature that had been "switched off" by default (through the CONSULT system) and could therefore be switched on, but nope. Looks like it's gone altogether.

NISMO, just out of curiousity then, why does NISSAN still show the feature in their "how-to" videos on the car? This is leading to a lot of confusion (as you can see). if it isn't there, it isn't there. But, if a car says that it has something, then it should work. Atleast you are the first person that has an answer to why things are like they are. I had a feeling that it was something like this.

I completely agree with you. Unfortunately I don;t have anyone I can ask those kinds of questions to atm. All of the policies are changing constantly. I get the impression that someone new is calling the shots every couple of weeks. For the last 6 months or so there has been no rhyme or reason (at least that I can see) to a lot of the decisions being made.

NISMO, well, at the request of my local dealership (the one I bought the car through), I sent an e-mail directly to Nissan to get their story on this. That way, we have it straight form the horses mouth. If you want, I can post the e-mail that I get back here just so there is proof of what is being said. It will be curious what they say as I included that they have videos that say the car should have this feature. So, why doesn't it work? I think their answer is going to be an interesting one.

Well, this is getting interesting. Nissan has assigned a specialist to look at the car. I should be getting a phone call in the near future to take the car in to have it looked at. Since I live near Washington DC, there may be a guy that has received extra training on this new car and will give it a look over. I will be curious what the answer is. Keeping you all informed as I see this being something that can affect a lot of people.

I finally got in touch with Haley at Nissan Customer Affairs. We talked about the issue and her reply was that this feature, while talked about in the video, is not equipped on US Spec cars. So, no car in the US has this feature for the 2019+ Altimas. Yes, the video does say that car can be equipped with this option, but as stated, no US Spec car is. So, now my question becomes, it sounds like the computer that controls the windows has the functionality, just doesn't have the electronic switch turned on. Is it possible to get into the computer(s) at the dealership level and turn this feature on? I have my local dealership looking into this. I will be curious what they say the answer is.
