2005 Nissan Altima
3.5 Automatic SE
80 degree outside
40k miles

What happens:
Running mint, get to a sudden stop sign (come to full stop)
Service/Check engine light comes on, car seems to have lost 90% power
I drive maybe 1/10th a mile @ around 10mph (couldnt go faster)
Able to pull off the road
In park car revs slowly (upto 2500 rpm), but it doesnt sound healthy
Voltage/Gas/Temp = Perfect

Not sure what to do, so I turn car off

Out of curiousity I turn the car back on, and she runs mint (check engine light remains), go motoring (Safely) around town, running like new.

Any advice before I walk into a dealer?

Thanks in advance!!

just got my goodies for this replacement, everything looks pretty straight forward, only thing I dont get 100% (maybe its my english), what does this mean in quotes

3- (Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds) "make sure throttle valve moves during the 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound"

Working better than before, idle reset = big improvements ;)

Took my time, was patient, gathered the right tools, then read the instructions, read em again, read a 3rd time, and followed them line by line. Double and triple checked my work, turn on the engine, and she started right up

Waited until traffic to die, took it out for a drive, and she didn't skip a beat.

Came back, waited an hour, checked on it again, and every seems good to go

Thanks everyone!
