OK I'm having a bit of an issue with my wife's 2012 altima 2.5s. We had her original serpentine pop in July and I quickly replaced it but now just today her new belt popped. I know I got the right belt so I know that wasn't the problem. She has her power steering pump going out as well so I'm thinking maybe it seized and the friction did it in. I had had noticed a slight wear on the outer edge of the belt but I checked numerous times and all pulley and belt connections were aligned and that is why I lean towards that pulley seizing and I'm wondering if the small fraying I saw could have been that as well. We are planning to get both replaced now but is there anything else I should look into? I have look at each pulley and felt or seen any burs. Any thoughts are appreciated.
