2010 Altima Sedan, when you try to move in the car it will not roll and then the front wheels jerk and it rolls to a spot and then does it again, had it looked at and they said transmission is bad but I wanted to see what you guys think, car was given to me by my daughter in law, it has 165,000 miles on it!

That sounds like a hydraulic pressure issue, most likely a worn out pump causing low line pressure. The pumps aren't replaceable without dismantling the trans, and that may not be the only problem. So the shop is probably correct.
