what kind of paint and primer did you use when you painted your cover? Iv been wanting to paint my 2.5 cover for a bit now an this is just the inspiration I needed to go buy some paint.

I used rustoleum engine primer, and dupli-color engine enamel red and black

yes, I put three coats of each (set 10 min each...but I was in direct sunlight outside in 85 degree temp)...1 can is plenty, I MAYBE used 1/4 of a can of each...

so it is flank style lol... you could use one for the light in your trunk. it's a 194 bulb too

I actually tried that...but the bulb is directional (only one side lights up) and the trunk bulb is vertical so it only illuminates one side (it's really bright and looks great on one side though! Haha)...but i'm going to go ahead and get the strip LED

well that could be temporary until you get the led strip. are you wiring up your own strip or buying one from bt?
