I put these on my 17 Altima S. They work great!

He was the best seller. I ordered that from others that supposedly had them in stock and didn't. Got refunds.
That vendor was honest. We communicated a lot. And I bought 2 separate orders from him.

Only ones I could find anywhere that fit a 2016 and up. They turn yellow when turn signals, flasher, and lock are activated.
My custom shop can put some in the headlights. That is expensive though.
Edit: Also my shop changed the front turn to a bright white/yellow LED bulb that I provided. Instead of the stock yellow/yellow. You can see the white light in one of the pics

Not cheap but there is above company that makes retrofit kit. They modify the headlamps to look like factory led drl. They also change color for signals. They will send you back money if send in your headlamps without damage.

I was going to get the NEW 2018 Kenwood 9905S last week. My dealer had it. I put a deposit. But... the iDatalink Maestro RR is not compatible with 2016+ Altimas yet. Heartbreak!

My 2016 SV has running lights in the driving lights in the fascia. Check yours.
Are you wanting the headlights low beams to come on also?
If so, a simple relay from the driving light circuit to the headlight low beams would suffice.
You will need en electrical probe tester and basic electrical skills.
I can see my running lights on the rear of cars at stoplights, so no need for brighter in my opinion.

Yes I put white/yellow SB's in the headlight. They are super bright. My local custom shop did it when I had the foglights and DRL's done. Had to take the headlight off to replace that bulb and put resistors too.

I had XKChrome Bluetooth controlled RGB H11 bulbs installed in the fog lights. So many colors, patterns, and music sync. They have RGB LEDs and regular super bright headlight LEDs. they work perfectly.

Measured the sound level today. The sub easily hit 110 dB in the trunk listening to Linkin Park. That is loud enough for me

 

I've seen posts stating that the DLR hardware is installed but not all Altimas have them activated. This makes sense economically and other auto manufacturers do the same thing. I have various rumors like that only the 3.5 engine option has them, but not all do. I believe either a jumper cable or software patch probably activates them given the right options packages selected, so those of us with base models go without. There has to be a simple way to activate them, and I would simply ask a dealer service tech what the deal is. I have a very base S model -- there isn't even an "S" emblem. My DLRs are out too, so if anyone finds the solution let us all know.

 

What year is your S? I have a 17S. There is no S on the back of the S's now.
The DRL's in the 16+ are in the headlight. In that big white reflector looking thing on the left of the parking light.

There are no LED's in there or wires in the back. My custom shop can open them and put LED's in there. Or you can buy them here:

I have a very late model-year 2016 built here in GA and it looks identical to every 2017 I see. I bought it around Thanksgiving 2016. Yes, it's my understanding that the the the big NIKE Swoosh looking thing between the headlight cluster and the grill is the DLR. You say there are no lights in there, it's just a space filler?

I am just glad to have DRLs and fog lights now. They ended up costing a lot to install.
Now I am getting 2 more XKchrome bulbs installed for the highbeams on Thursday. The Bluetooth controller has 2 channels. So one channel for foglights, and one for highbeams.

 

Good day fellow altima owners, i was surprised to find out that the DRL on our 2018 SR is located in the same housing as the fog light. I thought every nissan has the signature led drl. Anyway, is it safe to replace that DRL to leds? Is it just plug and play? TIA
