I actually examined the bulb a little closer and it looks to be a #74 bulb. I had thought that there was no bulb in my s model, but apparently there is and I think it might've blown since it doesn't seem to come on even when the car is running. But it's no biggie as I just simply use the map lights to look into my glove box!

I think they're the same thing, just different type numbers or how other manufacturers label them. Like #194 is the same as #168...
NOOOOOOOOOO,

They are not the same, lol. A 3175 bulb looks like an old glass fuse.

MRHIG, the dome light for your car is actually a 175. Do not order 3157.

*edit* 175 and DE3175 are the same.

well I just ordered 4 map lights thinking they will fit....xD REPLACEMENTS!
The map light should be the same for your car. What # did you order?

Oops, my bad! I haven't changed out the tail lights yet of my 09 altima, so now I know it's 3157 for the brake/tail light and the 3175 is the fuse like bulb for dome lights for 02-06 altimas!

I changed out the map/dome lights of my altima and they take the #194/168 type bulbs for LED's.

Well I should have opened up the map light to see what I was working with. It seems every light inside the car takes the SAME bulb. The lights I ordered for the step, fits the map, dome and trunk.
yep the #194 bulbs work the same as #168. Also they can be used for the front and rear parking lights. In the front, they go behind that big amber light...for the rear, they go behind the side red reflectors....not that anyone pays attention to parking lights!!

take pics of it tonight!

Yeah I had ordered 2 #194 and 4 #168 from v-led.com and noticed they were both the same!

wonder how it would look if you were to get strobe led bulbs...2 red strobe bulbs for the maplights, 2 blue strobe bulbs for the rear dome lights!!

I choose not to get LEDs for the front/rear turn signals as they wear out faster, plus I don't want to hassle with adding a 3 ohm or 6 ohm load resistor. Probably going to use those chrome stealth bulbs
I loaded resistor on my ride for the turn signal, it is all good and fast with T clips, simply snap them in, but just gonna put the resistors in a metal area of your car.

Hey all... what about the little convenience light/ ambient light that is always on in the inside? My is a subtle amber glow. I would like to change it, but I could not get the housing apart that held it in so I do not know the bulb size.
